Fire Protection opens new factory to meet BW11 demand
Fire Protection Limited, UK market leader in the manufacture and installation of fire resistant ductwork, is opening a new factory to meet increasing demand for its Flamebar BW11 fire-rated duct system.
The company has purchased the freehold on a new 1,800 square-metre manufacturing plant at Polegate, East Sussex, as well as installing a new mezzanine level at its existing 2,900 square-metre production facility in Harlow, Essex.
Alan Kinnear, director at Fire Protection, said: "In the 15 years since its introduction, the Flamebar BW11 system has become recognised as the best option available in fire-rated ductwork. We are making this significant investment to meet rising demand and in anticipation of continued growth in sales."
Flamebar BW11 has been specified for such prestigious buildings as Swiss Re's 'Gherkin' in the City of London, the Houses of Parliament, and Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank's world headquarters at Canary Wharf.
Fire Protection's new Polegate premises are just three miles from the Hampden Park headquarters of its parent company, the Hotchkiss Group. Fire Protection's management and administration offices will remain in Harlow.
